Location was good-- within walking distance of a very small beach. We stayed in one of the bungalows. It was quite spacious. Kitchen facilities were adequate. Stay was pleasant. The person who takes care of the cottages gave us tips about visiting some places on the island.

Beautiful property, and good location. Appreciated the range of kitchen materials such as a blender, cookie sheets, plate wear etc. to have smoothies and cook functionality. Each room was equipped with ac units, noise machines, and ear plugs which was appreciated. Hair dryer, towels, washing machine detergent, dish soap, extra pillow cases and everything needed to feel homey was provided. Also appreciated the google doc suggestions of places to visit. Would recommend adding Carl Smith Beach to the top list as a highlight snorkel place from our exploration. Spacious, well lit, and comfy living environment with tv access, WiFi etc.

Loved the remote location, screened in lanai, and lovely sounds of the rain forest. Host was very accommodating and thoughtful in their amenities and hospitality. The only thing that caught us off guard was no door (there was a curtain) separating the only toilet and bed which is not necessarily a problem if you are staying with people you are comfortable with. Overall, it was an amazing experience and lovely place to stay. Would stay here again and recommend to friends!

Very hospitable and kind hosts. Everything was very thoughtfully planned and our stay was very enjoyable.

Great location. Clean, full kitchen, comfortable. Beautiful surroundings- we had pet roosters and geckos to entertain us. Very secure, locked environment. Manager very friendly and informative of things to do and places to go. Washer n dryer handy. All in all great experience
Really enjoyed your evening entertainment! Come to find out her mother went to school with my first cousin and knows my mother's side of the family in hilo. Beautiful stay. Pet friendly which Lucky the dog loved it there. My son and I whom he lives in kona we wished that we booked it for another night. We highly recommend!!! Beautiful surroundings inside and outside. Very much welcoming!
The location and views were excellent. It's a great spot to sit outside and enjoy a beer in the late afternoon. From Hilltop we were a few minutes walk (downhill) to central Hilo and in under an hour drive to the Mauna Kea observatory, Waipi'o, Kalapan and Volcanoes National Park. The house was very clean and there was option for a daily room service. The resident cat was a wonderful host and one who, I like to think, became a good friend.
Old hotel, no air conditioner but fans.Concrete block walls make quiet rooms, clean and comfortable. Like the tile floors over normal disgusting carpets. Great location and the best hotel deal in town.
