Beautiful location in the lush rainforest. The sounds of the frogs and things at night were glorious, like your own natural sound machine. Nicely equipped place and fresh (beautifully scented) flowers placed in the bedroom and sitting area before we arrived was a lovely touch. Lovely host too! It is a rainforest so we did get got by some mozzies, but bug spray works wonders.
Really nicely located for exploring volcanoes national Park, but also ventured off down to southernmost Point.

Everything perfect! Chris and Roxy became my family for a week. the house is very beautiful, clean and has a beautiful garden. Bus stop a few steps away, very useful for me as I didn't rent a car. The kitchen is super equipped and always clean, same thing for the bathroom. Room with a very comfortable bed and equipped with every comfort, same thing for the living room and other common areas! Staying with Chris and Roxy was very nice, more than the owners of the property, they are friends who open their doors to you and help you make and enjoy your stay on the Big Island in the best possible way! I highly recommend it to everyone and above all don't be limited by the fact that there is a dog in the house, Roxy is very sweet and good! Definitely if I were to return to Hawaii one day, I would still choose to stay with Chris and Roxy!

Great location. Clean, full kitchen, comfortable. Beautiful surroundings- we had pet roosters and geckos to entertain us. Very secure, locked environment. Manager very friendly and informative of things to do and places to go. Washer n dryer handy. All in all great experience
Really enjoyed your evening entertainment! Come to find out her mother went to school with my first cousin and knows my mother's side of the family in hilo. Beautiful stay. Pet friendly which Lucky the dog loved it there. My son and I whom he lives in kona we wished that we booked it for another night. We highly recommend!!! Beautiful surroundings inside and outside. The location and views were excellent. It's a great spot to sit outside and enjoy a beer in the late afternoon. From Hilltop we were a few minutes walk (downhill) to central Hilo and in under an hour drive to the Mauna Kea observatory, Waipi'o, Kalapan and Volcanoes National Park. The house was very clean and there was option for a daily room service. The resident cat was a wonderful host and one who, I like to think, became a good friend.
Old hotel, no air conditioner but fans.Concrete block walls make quiet rooms, clean and comfortable. Like the tile floors over normal disgusting carpets. Great location and the best hotel deal in town.
This is a very unique place to stay and it’s in a great location. It’s charming and earthy. There are a few cats and dogs running around. The cats are super friendly. One claimed me while I was longing on the deck. Curled up in my lap, purred and fell asleep. My kids loved playing with them. The accommodations are basic but suited our needs. We had an outdoor shower which was fun. Staff is super friendly and we had a nice breakfast.
The house is located in Hilo near the Rainbow Fall. When my wife and I stayed in the house, from shoes and cars outside I knew there must be others in the house, but there was no sound at all - very quiet. The house is very clean too. The carpet looked like just shampooed and everywhere is clean.
