The apartment was much bigger than we expected and really clean. The sit-out area by the pool was our favorite spot ,it was so peaceful in the mornings, and we loved having breakfast there. The location is fantastic too, just a short walk to Candolim Beach, but far enough to feel quiet and relaxing. The pool was right outside, and we spent most of our afternoons lounging there. The whole place felt like a home away from home. We can’t wait to come back.

Location was good. Upgraded room had balcony and a side view of the beach. Room was petty spacious. Staff were helpful. There's free coffee in the reception at all times.
Beautiful plants all around. Lovely old home in quiet area. Friendly cats and dogs. The guesthouse is family run. Mr Afonso and his mother were always ready to give information and assist with transportation planning.
The rooms are big and comfortable. The location is excellent - quite a walk to the centre of Fontainas but still near some interesting places and generally very quiet (apart from the usual street dogs). There is a water filter, and a large fridge so cold water was always available.
Cockroaches found in property. Property was in renovation hence entry location was different. Also pet dogs were kept in open. False commitment by staff to extend 1 more day by providing additional room and then saying it is not vacant.

After staying in Bombay is was delightful to arrive somewhere full of charm ,books up the steps ,a dog outside my door and staff who care about your well being .
It was a prime location with great hosts. The guest house was beautiful and I wish I had stayed longer. They have few pets and they are adorable!! The staffs were quite friendly and polite. The most important thing I liked about Afonso was their punctuality in doing things. Would definitely recommend this place!

Very best location. Nearer from Karmali Rly Stn and Panaji. Miramar and DonaPaula are within 4kms. The staff is very friendly. I liked the pet dog..Jogi....Very nyc and quite pet. Being away from crowded area, it's quite n peaceful.
