The Peaks Motel is a 2-minute drive from the base of Mt Ruapehu and a Lake Taupo is a 1-hour away. Whanganui is a 1-hour and 15-minute drive away. The parking was great .The place was immaculately clean .It was a great location for restaurants.

The Hobbit Motorlodge offers a hot tub and free unlimited WiFi. It is a 50-minute drive from the Tongariro Crossing, and the property can arrange for a drop-off service at a charge.

A coin-operated laundry facility is available. Free parking is provided. due to rain (traveling by motorcycle) and a failed attempt at the river canoe trip, I ended up staying at the Hobbit for way longer than anticipated, but my stay was fantastic and comfortable! Michelle who runs the lodge is a wonderful person and puts alot of effort in to keeping the lodge clean and comfy for guests! I would def recommend staying here if you are coming through Ohakune!

Situated in a quiet location off the main highway in National Park Village, Adventure Lodge and Motel is family-run accommodation offering free unlimited Wi-Fi access and a comfortable guest lounge with satellite TV and an open fireplace. John and gill were amazing, the shuttle to the track, BBQ.

Ohakune Railway Station is 3 minutes' drive away. The place was really clean and the staff was super nice. The Spa was a great surprise! Great value for money.

Tongariro Boutique B&B is located in Tongariro National Park. Guests at the property can enjoy views of the national park from the rooms and access to a Jacuzzi and a large hot pool, replenished with spring water. The room was very comfortable, but could have used a rug or mat at the inside of the doorway to help keep the muck from our shoes coming into the room (it was so rainy while we were there, we weren’t comfortable leaving them outside). Really appreciated the drying room. If we come back to the park, we would probably try to stay here again.
