Very handy for the town and Countdown supermarket. We took a taxi from the airport and were able to able walk everywhere during our stay. The room has excellent heating, which was very welcome on the cold and rainy days.

Arcadia Motel is situated just 3 minutes’ walk from Tahunanui Beach. It has a solar-heated swimming pool and rooms with well-equipped kitchens. WiFi access is free. Great property. Very clean and spacious rooms . Host was really great and makes an extra effort to make you feel comfortable.

We were given a free upgrade to an access room on the ground floor. Huge rooms and very well appointed. Bathroom had spa bath. Kitchen had everything and a full sized fridge. Beds were super comfy and I even liked the pillows :) Great location for walking along the river or up to the "Centre of NZ" as well as several other walks. 5 minutes to Countdown. Didn't actually walk into the city centre, but I know it was close as was the Suter Gallery and Queens Gardens. Fabulous hotel, great location.
