Freshly upgraded and modern, very spacious and clean. Right on the main thoroughfare so easy to find. Nice beds, furniture and very nice walk-in shower. Even had a jacuzzi tub but never had a chance to use it.

This was the nicest motel anywhere we have ever stayed in. The rooms were a much higher level than you usually find in a motel. They were larger than expected and easily fit a family of four plus significant luggage with room to move. The beds were very comfortable and the double spa bath was AMAZING, we all had a lovely soak in it. The staff were lovely and helped us with washing facilities, and overall it was a very comfortable and pleasant stay, happy to recommend.

The hotel is beautiful. We walked the grounds, the gardens were well maintained and I love the period look. The staff were lovely and the room was super clean. Free parking was also a nice suprise.

Lovely clean and tidy motel close to the city centre at a great price.
It was very clean and it didn’t have that industrial clean smell other motels sometimes have.
Quiet, virtually no traffic noise. It was easy to find, being on a main road. Plenty of free parking. Prices were very reasonable. It was a good 3 star motel.
Awesome bed, really comfortable. The location is great in that I could walk to the town centre in less than five minutes. I really liked the view of Mt Tongariro from my window. Great value for a one-night stay. Attractive colour scheme and art work. Restaurants suggested, including a 10% discount for motel guests from memory. Free parking outside my room was great.
Room was very spacious and had great amenities. Loved the little extras including the bath salts for the spa bath which the kids loved. Beds super comfy and room was warm and well laid out. Motel location easy walking distance to the best nachos in town at the Roadhouse Grill and was quiet despite being on the road front of the state highway. Easy check in with great communication.
You could call the style of motel as 'retro' but it is well equipped and comfortable and an easy walk from the town centre. We had the front unit with a great view of the river. There was a fair bit of traffic on the road in front during the day but at night it was quiet and we slept well. Steve, the host was really friendly and helpful with local info.
