Both travelers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help make check-in quick and easy.
Location was excellent, unit was so comfortable and more than met our needs. The washing machine was a great plus as we were there for a week. There was even a Padel court down the road where they served good coffee. Safe area to run, We will definitely be returning next time we go to Jhb.
The motel is clean. The facilities are nice and the staff is extremely helpful and kind. We spent two nights at the motel and our entire time there was great
The facility itself has potential, but it falls short of luxury due to lack of maintenance. The name 'Mint Express' suggests a more budget-friendly option compared to the standard Mint experience. Unfortunately, my stay felt more like a seedy motel, with noise and music reminiscent of a brothel. It's a shame to see this beautiful establishment neglected in such a way. I won't be returning.
Really friendly staff, clean room, good wifi, nice buffet breakfast, right opposite an entrance to nelson Mandela square so brilliant location, easy check-in (got SOOOO many whatsapp messages & emails in the lead up to the stay about prepping for the stay/checking in remotely etc - it was a bit ott, and in person check in was fine)! Plug next to one side of the bed, hairdryer included, nice big sink/counter in bathroom, felt secure/safe in area n building
The location is very convenient, I was working remotely but was still able to run a few errands and also scheduled work meetings within the vicinity.
Had everything I needed im the apartment as well. Great host.
The room was spacious, there was good coffee and water in the rooms, the option of choosing what you ate in the half board was lovely (over buffet that is), and breakfast had a ton of options. We liked that all services offered were available on the TV, that directions were clear throughout the hotel and that there were multiple recreational spots and seating spots to be utilised. Breakfast had lovely variety.
Our stay at Motel MiPiChi was fantastic. Virginia was amazing and so helpful with answering all our questions. Tyson helped us feel safe every time we stepped out of the building. All these extra services provided by the lovely staff at Motel MiPiChi is what sets this place apart and made our stay thoroughly comfortable and enjoyable. Thanks again Virginia, Miriam and Tyson!
