Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.
I opened the door to the room and knew j couldn't stay. The floors were filthy. The toilet was in the shower. How does the toilet paper stay dry? There were big holes in the ceiling. This is by far the worst motel I've ever been to.
The location was great. Easy to walk with beach supplies.
The owner was very nice and attentive. Battery stopped working on the remote and he was quick to get batteries and replace. We arrived early and he let us check in ahead of time.
We were on a budget and knew this was an older motel. If you go in with that expectation - you will be fine and have a great stay.
I’ve been staying at Catalina Court since my kids were young. It’s very nostalgic for me. Reminds me of going to the beach every summer when I was young. I love the smaller one level motel with the courtyard and pool. The remodel is nice-handcrafted. Love the pavers around the property.
The room was clean. The night clerk was super friendly. There was always plenty of ice all throughout the day. The best part was the location to the beach. I loved that i didn’t have to pack up my car, drive to a beach, unload everything only to have to do it all again to go back to the motel. The distance to the beach was amazing!!!

- The motel has potential to be a paradise. However the property is NOT kept.
- The front reception and the staff where friendly. In my openion they are trying their best to stay afloat knowing that all of these problems exist, but are placed in the position to have to cover up and stay proffessional.

The room was clean, the beds were amazing! We slept so good the whole time we were there! It is an older motel and was a little dated, but that didn't matter to us.
Price was right! Twice as nice as any Motel 6. Don't expect a 5 star hotel or resort experience. There's a pool, there's cold AC in the rooms, the rooms were clean, the location is excellent (cheap Uber ride to the beach), and fresh towels daily.
We loved that it is an old school motel. Bed was comfortable. The owner was very nice. The location is perfect it's right across the street from beach access. Restaurants and bars are all nearby. We enjoyed our stay here and ended up staying an extra night.
