I liked the seating area around the pool, which was set back from the road and therefore more peaceful.

Terrible breakfast. Just bread/juice/yoghurt. Only one table to sit on and share with other guests. Terrible

Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.
I was amazed! This little motel has a better designed room, amenities, cleanliness, and attention to details lacking in much higher-priced motels. The landscaping was so attractive. I got more than my money’s worth. One of the truly best buys on Booking.com. Thank you.
Location, amenities, poolside dining; the gardens were beautiful. Rooms were spacious. I was on the ground floor so I liked the large patio off the back. I was surprised that most buildings were motel-like in that our door opened onto parking lot. However, a co-worker was in a building that was hotel-like, with doors opening into internal hallway.
We've stayed in many hotel/motels in the Palo Alto area over the years. We chose the Coronet as it was closest to the Palo Alto High School Graduation ceremonies. I was a little concerned as the price was so much lower than we usually have to pay in the area. However, what a delightful surprise! It is well staffed, perfectly maintained, comfortable, quiet, free parking, and even a small pool for a dip after a long hot drive. Grab a room if you are looking in this area.
Location is central to palo alto and mountain view, economical by far, compared to other similar motels in the area. The room was clean and cosy, although facing the main car park, it was not too noisy.
Friendly staff, clean place, convenient location if you attend Stanford Uni. Complimentary juices/soft drinks & baked goods were a nice touch (super processed & sugary though - perhaps an apple & banana would be better?). Real US motel experience like in the movies, if that's what you're looking for. Just waiting for someone to kick the door in wielding a shotgun.
Receptionist was knowledgeable and accommodating. The room was very well maintained and equipped. I especially appreciated the soft lighting, good temperature control, and the quiet, clean, comfortable bed. The management of this motel is excellent -- obviously someone has taken a lot of care to make the traveller feel comfortable.
I did not expect that this would be a motel. I have only known that Comfort Inns are hotels, so I was not pleased that I was in a motel. Personal preference is hotel, and I did not research the location well enough.
