Everything! Such a clean, comfortable place in a GORGEOUS natural setting with birdsong, lovely landscaping, people who are there for the great outdoors. Tongariro River walk is just out there gate. Also very much enjoyed talking with Peter (owner) & staff was great. Beautiful Christmas decorations to boot! And the Creel Tackle House & Cafe is SUPERB to boot.

The motel is situated close to Turangi and it is a short drive to the local shops including petrol/supermarket/great bakery. We found our room a little dated but that gave it a kind of charm. It was a comfortable break after a long tiring drive. Great for a short stay. I could imagine that if your were a fisherman that this motel would be well placed for your needs. Friendly helpful host. One real plus was that of all the motels that I have stayed in over many years, this is the only one that I can recall as providing a carport which makes a difference on a cold wet day.
Both travelers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help make check-in quick and easy.
The rooms were spacious and clean. My family stayed in Turangi Motel with 5 groups of family friends. We occupied 7 rooms altogether and it was amazing. The place was peaceful and relaxing. The management of the motel are very accommodating and friendly too. Highly recommended!

A comfortable, well equipped motel unit, well located if you're travelling up or down the island. We appreciated the heat pump being turned on before our arrival on a bleak winter day.
Motel has had a very recent revamp and is fresh, modern, clean and spotless inside, nicely decorated too. It seems like they're still in the process of renovating this place, so I'm looking forward to more beautification in the future.
The bathroom was great, really modern and nice. And it was awesome to have a full kitchen.
The best part was the thermal pools!! How amazing to have unlimited use of a private thermal pool (there's 4 to choose from), 24/7!

The Delux apartment was spacious and clean.The bed was comfortable with warm coverings and electric blankets if needed.The heat pump worked well.Very good kitchen facilities.The shower had good pressure and plentifull hot water.The motel is in walking distance to Turangi shopping centre and a cafe and takeaway shop is over the road.
We were in a newly renovated Delux Apartment which was spacious,clean and comfortable.The beds were comfortable and warm.All facilities worked well and the heat pump heated the room well on the very cold night.The motel is within walking distance to shopping centre and a cafe across the road.Staff at this motel are always accomodating and pleasant.
