Motel Cartier, hotel in Rivière-du-Loup

This motel is located within 5 minutes' drive of the Saint Lawrence River, which features whale watching and boating. The motel is right next to St-Hubert Restaurant.

Great location. Ease to get to off the highway. The staff is very friendly and does not hesitate to try to communicate in English. The bathroom window did not have a curtain or blind. So if you’re taller than 5’8 anyone outside can see you. It’s very small. I felt like I was in an airplane washroom except it had a tiny shower. A large person would not fit in it. And the toilet was extremely low to the floor. Not much room when sitting on the toilet facing the wall. Maybe a foot at the most. And I take a woman’s size 9.

Our room did have a view, which was nice and the motel is situated very close to the water. It was really nice to have some kitchen amenities available in our room (hot plate, microwave, kettle, fridge, toaster, coffee maker, dishes). Parking was very convenient.

The motel was clean, beds comfortable, bathroom was quite satisfactory and the views of the St. Lawrence along with grassy areas to walk are terrific. Highly recommend this motel with accommodating staff who were aware we might be a late arrival. The deck from the room was a surprise with a table to sit at and watch the ferry.

A nice 4 story mini hotel, with bar, restaurant, pool, spa etc. Parking is more motel style...get as close to your room as possible to carry in your luggage.

An ordinary motel that at some point in the not to distant past realized it was dated and so refurbished all the rooms. They didn't tell me this but it's obvious from the decor and bathroom fixtures that they put some thought into refreshing the rooms. The rooms are clean, bright, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is quite modern, the shower is great.

I travel with 2 small dogs and was placed in a nice 2-bed room at a quiet end of the motel. Everything was clean and orderly and the bed was ultra comfortable. I'd stay there again in a flash. Not too far from a couple of restaurants and very quiet area overall.

I was very pleased with my stay at the Motel. Having a restaurant so close was wonderful. And being able to get back on the road so easy was an added bonus. This location was perfect for me.
