The hotel is five or ten minutes drive from Old Quebec City ramparts, which made it perfect. All we did there was sleep, so we did not need many amenities. The air conditioning worked great. The motel is older, but the management is refurbishing it, There are a variety of restaurants within two or three blocks, easy to walk. The management was very friendly and gracious, and we were able to extend our stay for an extra day, since Quebec City is such a great place to visit. The price was very good for this city, and free parking is a rare thing. The location is quiet at night.

It was a 2-min car ride from the closest town. Had good heating, duvets, cushions, and towels. Plenty of parking space and fast check-in as well as check-out.
Both travelers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help make check-in quick and easy.
Well maintained property. Friendly staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable, free parking available right in front of the room. Breakfast was good and lot of other eateries near by.
I recently stayed at the Econolodge in Quebec City and had a pleasant experience overall. Although the location is a bit out of the city center, it offers plenty of free parking, which was very convenient for our stay. The breakfast was basic but had some variety, so we found something to start our day off right.
Motel Gifford was a great option for us, it was easily accessible to downtown Quebec by car (10 minutes), clean, quiet and extremely comfortable bed. Free parking and staff were very sweet. You can’t beat Motel Gifford in terms of price point.
Location was great, host was very nice, helped us find free parking (which is hard). Room was very clean and sufficient for our stay, but small. Old motel, but it is Old Quebec. Every hotel is expensive in that area so it was a good value
