We are located on the safest routes to and from Addo Park, including leading up to the lodge. We are centrally located in Addo area between the Garden Route and R62, for those planning round trip back to, or coming from Outdshoorn. If you do travel from Port-Elizabeth, please drive via R75 to us. The hosts were really friendly and helpful. They gave us a lot of useful tips. The location was amazing. I would defenetly recommend the barbecue. We also enjoyed the outdoor shower with a beautiful view to the nature. We recommend you to book a minimum of two nights.

Bushman Sands Golf Course is 35 km from Ikwanitsha Lodge. The nearest airport is Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport, 85 km from the accommodation. The lodge has individual chalets, very separated from each other. It offers a privacy and has everything you need for a very relaxing stay. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, the chalets are comfortable, have a fridge filled with refreshments, WIFI is superb. But best of all is the spectacular view. You can sit on the terrace of your chalet and keep watching the beautiful landscape, mountains, valleys and spectacular stars at night. There is a family style dinner served in the evening and a very pleasant breakfast. The place also has some zebras. I enjoyed every minute of my stay.A very good base for the Addo Elephant park and I enjoyed also the Scotia safari.

The lodge offers standard rooms in chalets with patio, shower and satellite TV. The more spacious suites have a seating area. This was a last minute booking as we were not happy with our previous accommodation. We arrived 30 minutes later and everything was ready for us. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. They even did our laundry even though we only stayed one night. Our 7 year old son really enjoyed the Wildlife Centre (mini zoo) and petting the rabbits. The entrance fee was included in the price of the accommodation. The view from the restaurant is really beautiful and relaxing.

Port Elizabeth is 35 km from Charihandra Game Lodge, whereas Addo is 19.4 km away. Chrihandra has suffered damage from the strong winds and relocated me to a partner property. They were extremely attentive and covered my expenses in the other place which was equally good and equipped! I look forward to stay at Charihandra in the future!

A buffet, continental or Full English/Irish breakfast is available daily at the property. The restaurant at the lodge serves African, American and South African cuisine. We stayed in Pod 1. We highly recommend the Pods for a truly unique experience. the lodge is beautiful but spending the night on the mountain is unmatchable. It’s a 40 minute drive from the Lodge to the Pods but it’s spectacular.

The lodge offers game drives through Addo National Park, game walks on the property and guided sundowner walks. Exceptional peaceful and wonderful place. The tents were amazing. The view breathtaking. The staff happy, fun and informative!
