Il Volcano Eco Cabin Retreat è uno chalet situato a Volcano, a 16 km da Kilauea e a 9,6 km dall'ingresso del Parco Nazionale del Vulcano. We loved everything about the accomodation. The atmosphere is wonderful, in the middle of a forest, calmness, silence, beautiful starry nights, jungle sounds. The lodge has everything you need, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, good wifi, everything is clean. It is very close, about a 20 minutes drive to Volcanoes National Park. I highly recommend to stay here if you visit Big Island. The hosts are so kind and helpful they really put their hearts and mind into this little lodge. Located in Waimea, Castle Waimea Country Lodge provides mountain views and free WiFi, 37 km from The Original King Kamehameha Statue and 48 km from Kohala Historical Sites State Monument. Awful awful place. Do not stay here. If you do... Well, I might have a harder time getting a room and/or paying more. So, yeah, definitely do not stay here. 😉

The rainforest pathways on property, filled with flowers and fauna made for a great location. The breakfast included delicious homemade banana bread and local papayas were such a nice local touch. The staff were very friendly as well.
