This house was great. The owner Jorge, and his son Daniel were very friendly and helpful. Jorge spoke very good english, and his son Daniel spoke perfect english. We expressed an interest in food to them, and they made some great suggestions, and even did something more personal for us. The house was very large, but also very clean, which is somewhat rare for a large rental house. The materials used in the recent refurbishment were high quality, and didn't feel "cheap". There was excellent water pressure in the showers, and plenty of hot water for showers. The internet is fiber, and I got approximately 100mbps, with 6ms latency. The daily fresh bread delivery was perfect for us. The house is about 10 minutes from the main city of Braganca, but it is an easy drive, and we didn't miss being IN the city.

Breakfast and coffee pods arriving on our doorstep in the morning was an extra surprise. The bungalows are clean and the beds very comfortable. We travelled in winter (frosty mornings) and the bungalows are well heated. The HUGE plus is dogs are welcome here. Great location for exploring Montealegre and Gerês.

Located at the end of the road surrounding the beautiful valley, we’ve been delighted by Joachim’s cabin, it’s super confortable and perfect for a few days, and the nature around is just beautiful. Joachim and his wife have been so nice and helpful, it’s difficult to not recommend this place. Thank you again.
