In our room, we could open the door, lie in bed and look out onto the Gocta Falls, the entire valley and listen to the birds singing in the Cloud Forest. The host, Mario, is an amazingly friendly and helpful man, great to talk to and extremely helpful. Not to mention, a great cook as well! His pizzas are world class!

Goctalab was our first stay on our northern Peru trip and it was truly an amazing place to jump start our travels. Sirgigo and Gianna are amazing hosts and the property is absolutely beautiful. The room was so comfortable and the view is epic. We ended up eating both dinners at GoctaLab and they were both amazing, with local flavors and excellent portions after long days of hiking!

Situated very close to the main tourist sites of Chachapoyas, such as the Gocta Waterfall, the Karajía sarcophagi, Macro, the Leymebamba Museum, and Revash Mausoleums. The food was excellent. This hotel is close to the gondola that goes to Kuelap. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Shower was nice and hot.
