With mountain views, Milford Sound Lodge is located in Milford Sound and has a restaurant, room service, bar and garden. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. When we arrived at Milford Sound Lodge, we were informed that the road would be closed the following day. Unfortunately we could not stay but the staff member, Gillian, immediately confirmed we could cancel without any penalties. The money was refunded promptly. We were disappointed we couldn’t stay as the lodges looked fab but with the amazing customer service we received, I have no doubt it would have been a wonderful stay.

Situated in Tuatapere Southland, Papatotara, The Cliffs Seaside Lodge provides accommodation a walkway with direct access to the beach. Gorgeous hotel with incredible views. Exceptional service and friendly staff the food was outstanding I only wish I stayed longer.

Set on 2000 acres of farmland bordering the Fiordland National Park, Cabot Lodge - Fiordland National Park offers uninterrupted views of Lake Manapouri and the surrounding mountains. Our stay at Cabot Lodge was one of the highlights of our trip to NZ. It is a magical, idyllic location and our hosts Brad and Breidi and their team welcomed us with kindness and thoughtfulness in their attention to detail. We would definitely go back and stay longer next time we are in NZ! We HIGHLY recommend this most amazing experience at Cabot Lodge!

High Leys Lodge is located 32 km from Fiordland National Park in Te Anau, while Fiordland Cinema, Te Anau Glow Worm Caves and Lake2Lake cycle trail are all reachable within 4.3 km. On our 6 weeks NZL Trip High Leys Lodge will loom large as the best place we were lucky enough to stay in. And we stayed in some wonderful places! The location, facilities and provisions were second to none. To top it off, the welcome and service from Sarah was next level. We felt that she knew all our wishes before !could be our best mate... ! TeAnau itself is a stunning location - and sadly, we only had three nights there - but it was the hospitality of John and Sarah that has made us resolute that we will return... even though we are from Germany a good nearly 24 hours away via a couple of flights and a drive! But this place is that special to come back - just because I totally forgot to tune the guitar 🎸

With sea views, Church Hill Boutique Lodge & Restaurant is located in Half-moon Bay and has a restaurant, free shuttle service, bar, garden and terrace. Chris and Deanne are a great team. We enjoyed our conversations with them and their hospitality. We both liked the option to pick your breakfast time and select what you wanted from the menu. We stayed three nights and ate dinner there each night and were never disappointed, great selections too. Chris was more than willing to provide a lift somewhere when needed. We highly recommend a stay at Church Hill.

Overlooking Halfmoon Bay and the islands of the Foveaux Straits, Kowhai Lane Lodge is just 5 minutes’ walk from the waterfront. A 4-hour Ulva Island tour is included in your accommodation rate. The lodge is in a provate residence a short walk from the center of of Oban. We definately noticed that the walk was up (or down) a hill, but also that almost all lodging in Oban is up or down a hill and most are quite a distance from the town center. The lodge is quite clean and comfortable and Peter and Iris are delightful hosts. The included tour of Ulva Island Preserve was a highlight. Peter was the first forest ranger on Ulva island many years ago and provided many insights into its management challenges. We also arranged for a water taxi to the Port William hut on the beautiful Northwest Circut Track and hiked back to Oban. We also did a nighttime tour to observe kiwi's and saw three of the interesting birds. It was a moonless night and the stars were incredable. The hour-long ferry ride to Stewert Island was smooth, but the return was a bit rough and several of the passengers (fortunately not us) were seasick.

Set within a World Heritage Site in New Zealand, Fiordland Lodge overlooks views of Lake Te Anau and the surrounding mountains. It offers a restaurant, free Wi-Fi and free parking. Lovely lodge in a beautiful setting. Nice, comfortable rooms, very atmospheric common spaces with big fireplace. Amazing, friendly staff. Very good food in the onsite restaurant.

Providing mountain views, Rarakau Lodge in Tuatapere provides accommodation, a shared lounge, a private beach area and barbecue facilities. Complimentary WiFi is featured throughout the property. Blake was incredible. He provides a level of hospitality a trained butler in England cannot do. He anticipated my needs and exceeded them beyond all expectations. The property is well equipped and very comfortable.

Situated in Garston in the Southland region, The Garston Lodge features accommodation with free private parking. Queenstown Airport is 57 km from the property. Great little place between Te Anua and Queenstown. Loved the shared kitchen and getting to talk to those doing the bike ride.

Located in Te Anau in the Southland region and Te Anau Glow Worm Caves reachable within 400 metres, Kea by the Lake provides accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a shared lounge and free... The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The lodge was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. I also appreciated the kitchen, which was equipped with excellent amenities that made self-catering a breeze. Overall, I highly recommend Kea Lodge for its comfort, cleanliness, and convenient facilities. Looking forward to my next stay!
