Beautiful property with amazing views - really comfortable beds and well thought out units. Norma and Al are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble.

It’s a sweet little lodge. Seems to be recently renovated cause everything is new. Klaes is the best host I’ve ever had, such a sweet gentleman. Instantly felt at home there!!Definitely recommend.

The best hotel in Northland. It can only be surpassed by boutique lodges, but then the prices are relevant. I've stayed and dined here many times since the multi-million-dollar refurbishment was completed, and the staff continue to make The Duke my favourite place away from home.
We had a nice room overlooking the ocean and enjoyed the sound of the waves. The lodges was spotless clean. The kitchen was well equiped and clean.would be happy staying again
