Hayley greeted us with warmth and enthusiasm (as well as wine and cheese tray) Well equipped kitchen we were able to cook our meals there and enjoy the entire house.

The grounds are beautifully kept and a joy to explore. The location was amazing, walking distance to trails, downtown, and the hot springs. The continental breakfast was delicious and the coffee was French press - enough said!

The lodge offers a terrace. Spacious, clean & comfortable house. Large well stocked kitchen that made it easy to prepare meals. The view was of both mountains & water. Location is great. Easy to walk both to Kaikoura & South Bay & other tracks. Our host was very responsive & kind. Should we ever find ourselves in Kaikoura again, we would definitely stay here again.
