The road to there is bumby, meaning that it’s literally in the middle of nowhere/nature. I personally loved that. We drove there by pick up and already the way up there felt like an adventure itself. Once arrived, we saw the magical lights everywhere. The owners really wanna make it a special place, welcome you warmly, have the best food I’ve had in Nicaragua. Whatever you order, it’s amazing. The rooms were super comfortable, big, beautifully decorated and I slept like a baby. The whole area is family-/kid-friendly, nice to calm down, relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. Absolutely perfect.

One of the highlights of our time in Nicaragua was this gorgeous eco resort. The yoga pavilion offers panoramic views of the lake and volcano; the pool is refreshing and relaxing with stunning views; the staff are delightful and helpful; the bungalows are so airy and comfortable. A lot of people mention the bugs, but honestly that’s just part of being in a tropical location (and this is an eco resort after all). The beds have mosquito nets so we slept perfectly well at night!

All in all I think the price for what is provided is excellent. This and the staff is extremely friendly.

We woke up very early for the volcano hike, and they prepared breakfast for us so we could eat before, that was really nice. The staff was very kind and attentive. The shower had hot water. The surroundings are nice, you eat in the morning surrounded by birds and flowers. The hike to Maderas starts at the entrance of the hotel, and the staff can help you to arrange a guide.

Nastanitev Finca del Sol Eco Lodge je v mestu Santa Cruz, 16 min hoje od znamenitosti Plaža Playa de Santo Domingo ter 9,2 km od znamenitosti vulkan Maderas, in nudi brezplačen WiFi, vrt s teraso ter... Miguel and staff were amazing, very kind, and helpful. The hotel has an excellent location and is very spacious with large distances between buildings, which makes it feel more private than other more cramped hotels.
