Our visit to Alte Kalkoefen Lodge was a highlight of our Namibia trip. The owners and staff were incredibly welcoming, making us feel at home from the start. The lodge exceeded our expectations in comfort and cleanliness. Another highlight is definitely the food they serve. Suuuuper delicious! The genuine friendliness of everyone there was remarkable. A special touch was receiving a jar of their delicious relish at departure, a favorite of ours during the stay.

We stayed two nights (one day to visit fish River Canyon, which is convenient to reach ) and would have loved to have at least one more day to hike around the beautiful mountains!

The food is well cooked and really tasty, especially considering in the remote location. Facilities are well maintained and clean.
