This area features a library, board games and plenty of space to relax and catch up with world.. the kitchen ,with a menu offering several fresh and tasty choices is also in this area…..breakfast , lunch or dinner… all delicious! The space in between… Six wonderfully designed and constructed A frames, offering everything necessary for the best off grid experience I have ever found. Woke with sunrise and followed the path down the wooden stairs to the breathtaking Lake Bacalar. easily spent the early day here … comfy chairs , floating decks , in water swing and hammock….. and free use kayaks.A mix of sun and shade makes it all perfect . Returned to jungle early evening to be greeted with a sky full for gazing and shimmering moon lit water with sounds of nature providing the soundtrack for an experience that will not soon be forgotten. Thank you Sam , Bernie and all the wonderful staff as well as the two wonderful dogs Clementina and Tabitha!

Casa Cactus Buenavista

Bacalar

Featuring a swimming pool, a garden, a terrace and views of the garden, Casa Cactus Buenavista is set in Bacalar and offers accommodation with free WiFi.

The nearest airport is Chetumal International Airport, 64 km from the lodge. We stayed at Casa Cactus Buenavista for only 3 days and we really regretted that we couldn't stay longer. Jey is a charming host who made us happy at every step during our stay. We didn't have to worry about anything - every day Jey prepared a detailed plan of what we should visit, where to eat a good dinner and gave us lots of other practical advice. Casa Cactus Buenavista is a fantastic place to relax: silence, beautiful garden, very nice swimming pool. Every day Jey was preparing a delicious breakfast served outdoors. Since Jey speaks English fluently, I got a chance to have free conversations, which was very rare in other places in Yucatan. Without a doubt, the stay at Casa Cactus Buenavista was the best time during the entire 3-week stay in Yucatan.

Providing pool views, Lodge Tzunum Jade in Tulum provides accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a terrace, a restaurant and a spa and wellness centre. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. This peaceful place is heaven on earth. Not easy to find, but once you get there you find paradise. The property features only 3 full-comfort cabanas. The outside pool is great. The garden area is well-maintained and beautiful. Super communication with the owner, Monica. Delicious and fresh breakfast is prepared every morning by Martin, whi is super helpful. Full and convenient kitechen outside. Very romantic and unusual. Small shops and streetfood nearby. Halfway between Tulum and Koba. We loved everything about it. I just booked my second stay there and I can't wait to return.

Nahouse Jungle Lodges

La Veleta, Tulum

Located 6.9 km from Tulum Archeological Site, Nahouse Jungle Lodges offers a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a garden and air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi.

A bicycle rental service is available at Nahouse Jungle Lodges. The staff was absolutely wonderful, and the grounds were beautiful- and most importantly - handcrafted in the local style. All around the location are hundreds of colossal, ultra-modern condo construction sites, obviously being funded by big investment groups that will soon dominate the area - much as it did Tulum Beach. Na House has a rootsy charm while still being comfortable and feels like an extension of the local environment rather than something built for Instagram influencers
