This facility is near to block 6 of the national park which has a lot of elephants and other animals and birds.. although block 1 is famous for leapord but sightings are difficult and it's dense forest so we can't see a lot of animals.. we would have loved to spend a few more days just relaxing in this property if we didn't have other plans. Amazing views of the lake and peacocks and monkeys roaming in the hotel gardens.. amazing.

O Glimra eco lodge oferece acomodação em Hambegamuwa, a 50 km do Templo Buduruwagala. My partner and I stayed two nights in Glimra Eco lodge and this was a true pleasure. Roshani and her husband are such amazing hosts and so helpful, it couldn’t be any better. They did everything to make our stay memorable. From cooking delicious meals, to arranging a safari for us in Udawalawe, which is cheaper compared to the usual prices. Roshani also took us to a place nearby to see the beautiful sunset from up above a hill. The views from the ecolodge are amazing. One morning we could even see an elephant having a bath on the other side of the lake!

The main centre of this city with the bus stop, restaurants and bar are only a few steps away. The owners are kind. They were always ready to help if we had any questions or concerns. Its very near to lunugumvehera national park in which you can go safari without disturbing the jungle creatures too much as it's less crowded than many other crowded safari parks around. It is one of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka.

Staying at the Wadula in an exoerience, not just a stay at a hotel! The accommodation is situated in the middle of nature. This is why you're escorted by one of the brothers that own the hotel from the main road because otherwise you'd probably get lost. Think nature, think a jungle-like experience! If you're a nature lover such as myself you will love this place! The owners, Dulaj and Chamith, are the best hosts you could possibly imagine. Welcoming, all smiles, and extremely helpful. They can arrange a host of things such as transportation, packed lunches and, of course safaris in neighbouring (literally 50 metres away) Yala National Park. The safari, arranged by the brothers, comes highly recommended! We did the full day safari. Very good packed breakfast, yummy lunch and to top it all off we saw elephants and yes, the ever elusive panther! Go for it! Ask Dulaj or Chamith to arrange the safari for you! They know the best guides! As for the accommodation: you will stay in your own private beautiful bungalow. It has all the amenities such as flatscreen TV, WiFi, aircon, coffee /tea, and in the bathroom apart from shampoo, even conditioner, toothpaste etc etc. Wonderful! Each balcony has a veranda with a gorgeous view over the lake. A perfect place to relax in the evenings! If you love nature and if you love a quiet peaceful place, look no further and book the Wadula!

This place is the definition of a getaway. truly remote. Never thought I'd experience this side of Sri Lanka on this holiday. Very nature based, local food, got to speak to the people in the villages on how they cultivate their crops, went on a very scenic bike ride with friends in the evening with the best views. The RIVER! wow loved every bit of it. We spent around 3 hours here and had a final dip before leaving the next day too. The water flowing over the shoulders felt like a free spa treatment.
