Clean and comfortable lodge. The bird food in the feeders was a nice touch and the welcome basket was thoughtful and appreciated. A visit from a pole cat, whilst we were sitting outside was a nice surprise.

Upper Gilwern Quarry Hut asub fossiilkütuse kõrval, kust on garanteeritud sissepääs trilobiitide kaevandamiseks kogu peatumise ajal. Kohapeal on tasuta eraparkla. The hut is small but perfectly formed. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the layout and equipment to make best use of the space. We had everything we needed bar a microwave which we could live without. We didn't get chance to use the outdoor equipment but could see that the outdoor space had been well thought through as well...even had a little fountain to sit and listen to! We were able to have a lovely mooch in the quarry and found plenty of Trilobites as hoped, to the be able to come back into a lovely, cosy and warm space to thaw out. We plan to come again in the summer months when we can get the best of the beautiful Welsh countryside.

The room was so lovely and the view was incredible, being surrounded by fields it was so tranquil and a beautiful place to stay! The beds were incredibly comfortable, it made it very hard to wake up! 10/10!
