So it's great if you have dogs. No worries with them trying to wonder off. Plenty of information in lodge for walks etc. Great communication with all staff. Even the dogs are catered for with treats and bowls. Will definitely stay again.

My partner and I absolutely loved the room - we stayed in the 'Coal Cellar', which has a ground level room, but a below-ground bathroom. The whole place has an eco vibe with a luxury feel; lots of greenery and bare wood, subtle lighting, and it is set in stunning woodland. We received a really warm welcome from Jon, and immediately made ourselves a cuppa from the hospitality tray. The room was nice and quiet, the bed linen was of really good quality, and the bathroom was like entering a steampunk forest grotto (with the benefit of underfloor heating). The online photos are a really good representation of this lovely hideaway. There is free onsite parking right outside the accommodation.
