The hosts John Jairo and Alexandra were very kind and helpful, and also patient with my lack of Spanish. Every meal I had there was delicious. The nature there is beautiful. I enjoyed relaxing on the hammock, listening to the birds, and visiting the nearby waterfall for a swim.

With river views, Centro EtnoArtístico Achalay is situated in Mocoa and has free WiFi. Short walk from the road (where the bus drops you off) but far enough to feel completely in the jungle. No internet and cooking on wood, but that was great! If you bring your own food, you can cook it yourself. Jose was friendly and helpful. Another guy who was staying there for two month already made tea for us every day. Made us feel really welcome. Super sweet cat who came onto my seat immediately. She even got two super sweet small kittens. I fell in love with them! Very comfortable bed, didn’t expect it to be possible in the jungle. Sleeping with the sounds of the (wild) river and the water from the pond.

Situated in Mocoa, Posada Turistica Dantayaco features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. Love everything about this place, especially the monkeys that come in the mornings!
