We stayed in one of the motel rooms, it looks rustic but the interior is tastefully updated. The room is spacious with high ceilings and spotlessly clean, even comes with a kitchenette and a small closet. Wi-Fi is good and stable. Large TV. The sounds the heater makes kind of sounds like rain falling on the roof. It was one of the most comfortable stays we've had on our road trip, so much so we decided to stay and relax for an additional 2 hours in the morning instead of getting right back on the road.

Red Bay Lodge se encuentra en Red Bay y ofrece wifi gratis, restaurante y bar. Breakfast was great - choice of shakshuka or traditional Canadian breakfast: eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, pancakes, etc. Room was extremely clean. I believe they said it has all been renovated in the past few years. The bathroom looked new, eveyrthing worked (hot water, fridge, fans), no window leaks (air or bugs). Location was close to Lion Head hiking and about 1 hour away from Tobermory / Bruce Peninsula. There is also a short walk to a public beach access across the street. Staff was friendly and welcoming for check in and at the restaurant. Firepit was great at night with friends and to meet others staying on property. There was also live music until 11pm on Saturday. Wifi was pretty strong and could get through some work emails or watch a video. Also, it is one of the few dog friendly properties, which is a major reason we chose to stay here. There were about 5+ dogs that overlapped our stay but everyone was respectful and gave space.
