Staying in a train carriage that's been converted nicely into a hotel room on a bridge over a river in Kruger was a dreamlike experience! Looking down from our window and balcony or from the lounge mid-bridge, we saw elephants, water buffalo, hippos and crocodiles--and that was just to start. On our twice daily game drives, we saw the Big 5 and more--and that was within the first 24 hours of arriving! The staff was wonderful, in particular our driver, Nelly, and Jeffrey and Fanni in the restaurant. The property is beautiful, and everything was so easy, from landing at Skukuza Airport (charming) to driving 10 minutes to the property (Nelly picked us up) to all meals to our daily game drives, all included! And it was a great value too!

Best days in my life. The staff (Julia, Philile) were incredible, very supportive and knowledgeable! And the safari was UNBELIEVABLE, we saw SIX leopards in ONE DAY and the big five! I would like to thanks the chef Tilly for the amazing food as well! Our guide Jordan was THE BEST one ever, he did everything to reach the animals and knew everything about them. I totally recommend!! For sure I will be back soon! THANKS EP

The house was beautiful and the views was beautiful. We were able to also see animals within the accomodations compound and from the back of the house too.
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
The lodge is super nice. The tent fully equipped and the staff really kind.
The position is great and allow for amazing safari. Our guide Peter was super!

Very friendly and heloful staff. Very knowledgeable , friendly and welcoming safari guide( Amend). He made our safari trips very enjoyable
Quality of food was very good
Great to see lots of elephants at the water hole from the lodge decking
I had the pleasure of experiencing several game drives at Jock Safari Lodge recently, and I must say that the expertise and dedication of our ranger truly enhanced the entire adventure. He exhibited an exceptional knowledge of the local flora and fauna, providing insightful information and making each game drive an educational and memorable experience. His passion for wildlife conservation was evident, creating a contagious enthusiasm.
Nothing because the house offered was not what we had booked . On booking.com the properties are not listed as lodges but villas so we got a very old house and the pictures are a mixture of all the places at elephant point
The highlights were the location of the Train above the Sabi River - unbeatable! Beautiful, well positioned pools, decks, bars and chill areas provide a world class safari and luxurious atmosphere.
The food offering at all meals was the best we have experienced at any five star game lodge in South Africa - exceptional!
Special dietary requirements are particularly well catered for and the all inclusive drinks policy is a bonus.
Staff customer orientation is outstanding - all guest requests were accommodated with enthusiasm.
What a fantastic place to stay for an amazing safari. The staff was exceptional friendly and kind. Our game driver Vusi was amazing!! what a experience this guy has and a unbelievable eye on where the animals are. The food was great and our lodge very luxurious. We travel a lot and can highly recommend this accommodation.
