Vanessa and Derek were the most wonderful hosts who were ready to help at any given minute. They are so friendly & never hesitated to make our stay 10 x better. The unit was clean, neat and cozy. It was perfect for our short stay. There's a lovely entertainment area which we could use to wind down as well as a lovely kitchen which we could use to prepare our meals.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone passing by or traveling through Hermanus.

The owner arranged for a picnic on the beach which was a really memorable occasion. They were attentive but discreet and we had a wonderful time. We also had guests come for dinner who were welcomed and treated well. Really felt like family.

We loved the magnificent views of the golf course and mountain backdrop. The guest lodge is so comfortable and offers a home away from home feel. Paul and Yvonne are attentive and welcoming hosts.
It was an amazing experience. The hosts went out of their way to make our stay amazing. They went an extra mile with small detail. A bottle of water and champagne, biscuits, rusks, mil, wood and everything else we needed and did not think about. I will definitely recommend Elephant lodge as a holiday destination.
We only spent one night here as we were flying home the following evening but we would have been very happy to stay longer. Lovely, spacious, tastefully decorated studio. Quiet location & an easy walk to the centre of Hermanus or the coastal path. The staff were excellent - warm, friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast was great - lots of choice - I particularly appreciated the gluten free bread. We would love to return to Hermanus during the whale season & stay at 6 Stemmet Lodge.
Our 2nd time here. Had same room as before. Great for couple nights. More than that perhaps a bigger room woud be better..5 mins into town on foot. No reflection on stennet lodge of course but Hermanus has become mega expensive. Having lived near Hermanus and shopped eaten and had drinks for 20 years previously we cant beleive we find it more expensive than Capetown. So anyone on a tight budget may struggle. Stennete lodge 10. 10.
The Elephant lodge was exceptional. Myself, Partner and 2 kids had an awesome stay. Everything was neat and tidy, in a very quiet area. The ambiance was great. The hosts were friendly and very accommodating as we booked a few minutes before arriving.They even arranged some snacks and drinks on arrival. I would definitely recommend a stay at the lodge.
