One of the most stylish decorated homes/hotels I stayed in. All done in the best possible taste yet still homey. Very inspiring. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was exceptional, everything you could think of was there or made upon request.

Due to repair work at the Lodge, we ended up staying at La Cle Villa. If you are looking for an intimate holiday with personal services, this is a great choice. The room we stayed in was nice, but we have access to the super spacious living and dinning room (only 3 rooms). Two lovely staff members would prepare a lovely breakfast spread for us. We also have daily hot snacks in the afternoon. There was also warm flames in the fireplace. The location was great, an easy 5 minutes walk to Franschhoek main street.

Outstanding rustic chalet experiences in former wind yards. We stayed in the Lake Lodges and enjoyed the frog sounds from the little pond. Breakfast was served in the very colonial style main house. Very impressive

Very hard to choose one. This was such a perfect place. We made a tour through SA and stayed in a few hotels/lodges, but Lynx was the winning hotel. Heaven on earth. The host was very helpful, the pool was so nice, Thomas helped with the umbrellas..... Everything was more than excellent. I would love to come back!

A beautiful view of Franshhoek. We were allocated the game lodge - it was a lovely surprise to see some zebras first thing in the morning! Natasha was a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome, and even assisted us shuttling between our lodge and the main residence.

My overall experience relevant to other 5* boutique hotels that I've stayed in within Franshoek was disappointing, the per night rate charged seemed high in comparison to other better hotels and guest lodges that I've stayed at. The room was smaller than I expected, and the bathroom configuration wasn't practical, NO bath...?

An absolutely beautiful location for a room looking out over the lake and the mountains. Very comfortable bed and aircon and log fire available dependent on the temperature. Great breakfast in the main lodge. No restaurant - but a short drive to the excellent restaurant Arkeste. Tea and coffee in the room, and microwave and fridge - so you could self-cater. Cute drive through a mini-safari to get to the room.
