We really enjoyed our stay at the Stardome! It is a beautiful and serene location and the staff was friendly and helpful. We left early for Machu Picchu and the packed us a boxed breakfast, which was great since we had a tight timeline and no time to eat until after our tour.

It was a fantastic stay, staff were very attentive and the fact you need a guide and wear harness to go to your pod was such a unique experience.
The jacuzzi/shower was amazing, water temperature was great.
The bed was very comfortable.
The dinner was tasty too with the fantastic view.
I opted to do the via ferrata the following morning. It was so good, so much better than I thought and the guide was very helpful too. If you enjoy go ape in the UK, make sure you do this via ferrata.
Needless to say the view was amazing!

The setting of the house, set in the Sacred Valley surrounded by mountains is superb. The room we had was huge, with massive windows giving us the view of the mountains opposite...quite superb. We chose to stay here for our first 5 nights in Peru, to acclimatise to the altitude (Ollantaytambo is quite a bit lower than Cusco for instance) and to get into the swing of things in a quieter environment. Also, of course there is the direct train to Macchu Piccu from here! Vanessa was a wonderful host and she provided us not only with a beautiful breakfast each day, she was kind enough to transport us to and from the town which was a real bonus. If it wasn't for her doing this then it could have been a bit of a pain getting in and out of town. We loved the whole area, the village is probably the nicest we saw in our 4 week stay in Peru and there was lots for us to see and do. This is a beautiful place to stay in the Sacred Valley!

We got sick during our stay there and not because of anything related to the hotel but the owners were so gracious and so helpful that I can honestly say that there is nowhere I would have rather convalesced than at their lodge. They went above and beyond to help us feel better. Many, many thanks.
Edith and Stijn are excellent host. They do their utmost to make you feel welcome. Beautiful lodge next to the river.
Nice garden to relax. Clean room, comfy bed and clean bathroom with hot shower. Delicious breakfast and very complete, bread, cheese, homemade jam, fruit, yogurt, eggs. Ollantaytambo is a beatiful town so if you can stay more than a day!
This is a nice small lodge close to the main part of Ollantaytambo and not more than an easy 15 min walk to the train station to go to Machu Picchu. The breakfast is very good- coffee, tea, bread, & eggs cooked to order, plus fresh bread, fruits & veggies- all delicious. The owner/operator and his family are super nice & helpful. Also, the owner is very knowledgable about Peru & things to do. He's an official tour guide if you want to hire him for your excursions. We'll be back sometime, hopefully soon!
We loved our stay at Apu Lodge, the location is beautiful and the staff were really helpful. Special shoutout to the driver they arranged for us Edgar who took us around the nearby sites.
Tunupa Lodge hotel is very nicely located In Ollantaytambo with a 5 minute walk to the train station and a 5 minute walk to the town square, The grounds are lush and serene with a beautiful view of the Ollantaytambo ruins and the Andes Mountains. The rooms are clean and quiet. The staff goes out of the way to make our stay comfortable.
I liked the hosts very much. It felt like coming home every time I entered the door. They are very kind, for example they make you feel at ease, arrange day trips for you, make nice breakfast, do your laundry. They are the best.
Also, the view from my room was beautiful. You could see the mountains by laying in bed. The lodge is 5-10 min walking from the main square but that was nice regarding the noise.
The facilities were great. The lodges themselves were spacious, very warm with the log burner, extremely quiet and a very comfy bed with zero problems with hot water within the bathroom. We were lucky enough to have a clear nights sky where the stars lit up the sky like someone had flicked white paint into the sky, absolutely beautiful.
