Yes, it’s cold at night, but we were totally fine, you just need to wear right outfit for sleeping, there are heavy duty blankets to use as well.

The location was amazing. The hosts were exceptionally kind, helpful and welcoming. The food was delicious. Our room provided an amazing view. The tour around the lake organized by the host was very educational and interesting. We met local people and learned a few words on their language. The hosts answered all our requests. Everything was fabulous.

These homes are owned by local families. It was wonderful to stay in an authentic floating reed home. We had our 2 kids (12 and 14) travel with us and we loved it. The location is rustic and homey. The families cooked us breakfast (included) and dinner. Electricity is generated via solar panels, so you need to ready for it. The family also took us for boat tours of the local village - it was charming and a chance to learn truly about local life. We HIGHLY recommend it - it is an opportunity to travel and support local families.

Exceptional experience. Very comfortable lodge, very attentive and delicate hosts. Lodge itself is very big and has plenty seats (and even one bed) to enjoy the lake and sunrise/sunset/sun outside. Even hot shower. Even sofa. And decent lunch/dinner/breakfast. Strongly recommended.

Living on the floating island is an amazing experience! The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and, for a room on a floating island, the attached bathroom great!
The couple were very nice and willing to provide help and support! For example, at night time, we were given hot water bottles to heat up the beds as it dropped below freezing at night.
We requested a few additional services and they were very helpful. Breakfast was included in the booking, but we asked to be given lunch and dinner. We also asked for pickup and drop-off at the Puno port. Finally, Don Mario gave us an amazing tour: At first, he brought us to the area the reeds are growing and shows us how he harvests them as well as some other traditions and methods. In the second part, we toured the village seeing the school, kindergarten, and hospital as well as some traditional huts. The hosts were just amazing!

The room was very clean and lovely, with lake view. Good internet, hot water ( that's not so obvious in Peru). Very teasty breakfast.
Next to the lodge there are animals like lama and donkey that you can interact with. The owner took as to dig out some patatos with help of lama, what was great. We also had a little excursion on the tradicional boat with the owner. The owner also has a selecion of colorful tradicional clothes that you can try on :)
