The ocean view from the room was breathtaking. The bathroom was clean with a modern bidet. It had local bathroom amenities. The coffee and fresh fruit were nice. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The nearby walk to the seal colony and beyond was very enjoyable.

Room was lovely, with sitting space, well-tended flowers outside the window, small patio. Modest motel with only a few rooms (4), but clean and charming; kitchen facilities and laundry facilities available, convenient and clean. Near Westport, on main road - quiet when we were there.
Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Omau Settlers Lodge is a beautiful motel. Rooms are staggered and are quiet with minimal dividing wall. My room was exceptionally well equipped. The nearby coastal scenery is lovely and unusually good weather for Cape Foulwind allowed the scenery to be enjoyed. I've been other times in horizontal rain. The included breakfast was excellent with a lovely choice. The only sadness was that either side of my booking was full, otherwise, I would have stayed longer.
We enjoyed our stay at Omau Settlers Lodge, quiet location near the coast. The room was very well appointed, especially with doors at the front and a door at the back of the room opening out onto lovely garden area. Nice to see the wekas enjoying the property. Very West Coast. Host, Pam very pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast provided in the dining room, nice option and opportunity to meet other travellers to discuss travel plans. Highly recommend this property and will return.
Had an absolute fantastic stay at Bazil's. Didn't intend to go as far north as Westport, but due to lack of lodging elsewhere we ended up in Westport at Bazil's... FANTASTIC!!! Would book there again for sure. Funky and fun property. Laid back atmosphere. Eclectic but clean and tidy. Will take advantage of surf lessons next time. Definitely hit up Whanake Gallery & Espresso Bar and The West Coast Pie Company... both Stellar!
