I blindly booked with the Auto Lodge Motel and I have to say that is one of the best motels in all of the North Island of New Zealand. The entire room was complete with up-to-date amenities with certain attention to detail that made the space more comfortable to be in. The bed was amazing with the variety of soft/firm pillows which enabled me to get the proper rest I needed. The bathroom was fantastic with amazing water pressure and heat. I will be definitely booking again - I almost stayed an extra night!
A modern, spacious and functional studio king room. Excellent shower and kitchen facilities. No noise from neighbours and very clean. Close to supermarkets and the river for biking or walks and looked exactly like the photos on their website. Strong wifi, lots of TV channels and a very pleasant host - loved the family story about the Autolodge. Will definitely stay there again.
Hard to access after bookung in at reception a few hundred meters away on a busy road. Driving further away before turning back and trying to find the lodge by discription, red building. Oops put this comment in the wrong box. Did not like this after driving all day.
This was second time we stayed here Absolutely Beautiful 10/10.
