Well equipped lodge close to Franz Josef town (about 5mins in a car). We stayed in the middle of winter but found the place to be cosy & warm - heated blankets and heaters in the living room and bathroom. We had everything we needed in the kitchen for a couple of nights stay and parking right by the front door. The manager was super friendly and helpful (sorry I didn’t get her name).
Excellent standard, this place is like a hotel not a lodge (at least our room was). Great value for not much money - actually it was our best and cheapest stay during two weeks in New Zealand. Very nice kitchen with a free coffee from a coffee machine, free popcorn, free welcome scone:-) Nice personnel. Clean bathroom with cosmetics provided. Even a hot tub included:-) Generally wonderful.
The staff member who received us, don't recall his name but he was from France, was super helpful and gave us good advice. The lodging was very charming.
We had a rainforest outside our patio doors! Excellent location for Glaciers, plenty of choice in the Main Street for food, small supermarket. The lodge was very modern, warm, comfortable, plenty of space. Bed was sooo comfy!
Wernt sure about the lodge accommodation, but turns out we were very impressed and would use it again. Scenery is great from the park. Tidy, clean and very comfortable.
The lodge was set in landscaped gardens and had a very characterful lounge area which was comfortable and relaxing. Room was comfortable, very clean and spacious.
The location of the accommodation was great and the room was clean. I've stayed before in one of the lodges and would recommend paying more to experience this accommodation.
Our family of 6 stayed in 2 Tree Lodges. They were modern, comfortable and clean. Lovely staff and we really enjoyed our overnight stay here 😊
