Absolutely brilliant location - if you're looking to get away from the world and experience fjord, northern lights and generally northern Norway above polar circle at its best, it will be hard to beat this place. And we've been to Norway, including Tromso area, many times over the last ten years, so I hope we know what we're talking about ;-)
This hytte (cabin / chalet) has all the amenities you could wish for - all the kitchen utensils you'd expect, cozy bedrooms, warm and spacious bathroom, even boot room to dry off your clothes and shoes. All spotlessly clean. Hot water and heating faultless. Bed linen and towels were included which is great if you travel from abroad and have limited luggage - we usually had to pay extra for these on our many Norway trips in the past. And if you're familiar with camping sites in this beautiful country, I'm happy to report that no, you don't operate your hot shower using coins ;-)
I can't recommend highly enough using outdoor hot tub - well worth paying little extra to enjoy external hot tub jacuzzi - we were incredibly lucky to see a good 10 minutes show of northern lights in the sky while sitting inside hot bubbling water while it was freezing (you'll be very warm in the tub, don't worry!), a moment to cherish for ever.
As for the northern lights (if that's what you'd like to see), as we know from our experience over few Norway trips, you're pretty much able to see it from everywhere providing it's dark (night time), the sky is clear (no clouds) and that Aurora actually appears on the night. We saw it from the patio of our hytte and were able to take decent pictures. If you want to take a very professional pictures, you'd be better off making a short drive away from village lights - many spots on the way from Svensby ferry, 5-10 minutes drive.

Gorgeous lodge in a breathtaking location. The team is professional, very friendly and made every effort to ensure we had a wonderful experience. The lodge is built and run with much attention to detail and everything is top quality.
Dinner is a fine dining experience based on traditional north-Norway cooking with a modern interpretation. Easily the best meal we had in Norway, and getting to know Erik the restaurant manager was an extra treat.

Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Stunning location in the Lyngen Alps. Apartment with three bedrooms was spacious, warm, and comfortable. Beautiful views of fijord. Dog sledding was an absolute win. My girls and I had a brilliant time. Totally worth the money. Snow shoeing up the valley near the lodge was also spectacular. We enjoyed the sauna in our apartment and then a quick dip in the fijord to cool off. Brilliant and memorable. Alf, the owner, is very good company and was very gracious always.
