To visit Chicken Itza the best place to stay is Valladolid and a great place to stay in Valladolid is The Blue Eco Lodge. Englishman Harry and his lovely lady Adihel are calm but efficient hosts. Great breakfast, probably the best bed I’ve ever slept in, the garden is great, the pool is amazing and 2 mornings running I saw Toucans while in the luxurious shower. I could go on but quite simply I give it 11 out of 10.
Loved staying at this lodge in the jungle. It is located about 10-15 minutes from Valladolid but easy to get in and out of the city. Harry and Ahidel were great hosts and there was a communal space to meet other travellers poolside and at breakfast. The breakfast each morning was amazing and anything we needed they took care of us. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area. Valladolid was also an incredible Mexican city to visit.
Harry and Ahidel were the kindest and loveliest people!! You can see that they are giving their best to make your stay most comfortable and enjoyable. The lodge is better in every way than any 4-star Hotel we have been staying at!!

Not many people there so it’s like staying with friends. They even have a bar with a great bartender to mix you some cocktails.
