Great value for money. Also book your Safari to yala through the hostel. They have connections with the best guides. Let your host know what meals you need when you arrive. He can organise delivery or his wife makes beautiful traditional food. Also your host gives you a wake up call for your Safari. Very helpful to organise taxi to your next location or can give you tuk tuk to bus stop. Just give your host some notice.
I also stayed at their other property for one night (Riverside Cabana in Tissamaharama) Perfect for a complete private tree experience. Beautiful river view. Wonderful food. Great owner who will organise your safari tours and is passionate about wildlife also.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful house in Yala! The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our stay. The house is very spacious, clean, and modern—perfect for our group of 10 people. The food was delicious, all prepared by the staff, which made our experience even more relaxing. The pool was stunning, and being surrounded by nature made the experience even more special. We spotted monkeys, peacocks, a variety of birds, and even a monitor lizard! Another great advantage is that the house is located just 15 minutes from the entrance of Yala Safari Park, making it super convenient for our excursions. Overall, it was a peaceful and unique getaway, and the staff’s care and attention made it truly memorable. Highly recommend this place!

The room was in a lovely setting. Staff was excellent. As we were a family and we’re short on time, I called before I reached the hotel to order our lunch so that we could immediately leave for the safari and it was ready and well taken care of . Mr. Ramesh Buddika organised all we needed most efficiently.

Not much. it was completely overpriced for what it was. The rooms are shacks, with dirty mattresses, stained blankets, no hygiene at all. There is nothing against simplicity, but this clearly was not acceptable. Even a simple tree House can be kept relatively clean.
The staff was really friendly and helpful, but that’s it. Not much more positive to say about this place.

Great location for a Yala safari. We chose the chalet which is a mini lodge on stilts(see picture). We loved it, as it looked over the river and the pool. First day we got there we saw two types of kingfisher, hornbill, flying peacock, monitor lizard, and a troop of monkeys travelling through the trees on the opposite bank. Staff lovely.
Our stay at koragaha lodge was perfect. They organised several safaris for us and went above and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable time with a brilliant guide and driver. The rooms and whole setting was beautiful and so well thought out. Praveen and his team offer an outstanding level of service which we haven’t encountered elsewhere at this level. My sister required gluten free meals and they made dishes especially for her dietary requirements with no hassle. Thank you for the most amazing couple of days!
Amazon Cabanas is a hidden gem. Our lodge was really lovely. It had a lovely big bathroom, very comfortable bed and a lovely veranda where we sat enjoying the incredible beauty and peacefulness of their gorgeous garden. The couple were delightful and super helpful and friendly. On our 2nd night we arrived back very tired from a full day safari at Yala National Park. The couple brought us a lovely tray of coffee and home made cake. It's been our favourite place to stay in Sri Lanka and would really highly recommend.
Staff are amazing and more than willing to help and just have a conversation. Damien was our guide for our safaris (which the Lodge booked and arranged for us) and Damien was just brilliant. Highly recommend requesting him if you do any safaris and get a guide. Would come back and stay again.
The lodges are absolutely stunning. This hotel was actually one of the highlights of our trip. We loved the huge garden which is perfect for birdwatching. The team is amazing and accommodated us very last minute. We’ll definitely be back!
We had a lovely time at Koragaha Lodge. The photos don’t do the place justice! We loved our spacious room with a patio and enjoyed the Sri Lankan food we had. Brilliant location not far from Yala national park. Lodges are nicely spaced out to enjoy a peaceful stay. Praveen was excellent and gave us lots of tips, including how to cook some Sri Lankan food. Make sure you spend an evening walking to the nearby lake to enjoy all the wildlife. We had a great time and wish we'd stayed longer.
Wonderful lodge in a perfect spot to start a Yala Safari. Very nice staff, spotlessly clean, spacious rooms with huge terraces, pleasant pool, excellent breakfast (we had Singhalese breakfast, which is a great treat if you like local food from Sri Lanka).
