Beautiful boutique hotel - our favorite stay of our whole trip! The lodges are beautifully designed and well equipped. The outside bathroom is an amazing feature and we loved the pool. We must mention the staff - every single one was well trained, friendly and helpful. Really they made our stay perfect. Highly recommend to anyone.

Our stay here was fantastic! Room was clean, comfortable beds and breakfast was delicious. But above all it was Anil and his lovely family that made our stay perfect. Incredibly kind and helpful with planning our trips and driving us everywhere by tuktuk. Be sure to have dinner at the lodge at least once during your stay, it was the best!

A perfect place for us…small local homestay near rice paddies and view of Lion's Rock. The owner is so positive and cheerful. He helped us learn about wildlife in his garden, recommended local restaurants and organized most of our tours. The breakfast was so wonderful - we stayed 4 nights and every morning we had different Sri Lankan choices. There were sunny-side-up eggs every morning. A thermos full of hot water to make your own coffee or tea plus a lovely local juice. You can easily walk to see local rice fields and a view of the Lion's Rock. There are many restaurant options on the local road leading to the homestay. There are hammocks to relax in while you enjoy the beautiful garden with local wildlife. A quiet and peaceful retreat! 4 rooms available…snatch yours up!

We had two favourite stays (from 7) and this one is one of them. Really nice host, he spent nice time with us talking. Very nice family. The location was perfect. Peaceful place near to jungle. Nice garden, sounds of nature, view on lion rocks. Really nice breakfasts.
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
The family were so lovely. The lady did our washing and Sosa was rally helpful giving us lifts, they both were very kind and helped us planned our days. The breakfast was different most days, they made us a packed lunch and gave us loads of fruit to try when we booked a safari, can’t reccomend enough! The room was spacious, really nice shower.
Our time at the Kandalama Lodge was beautiful. We felt special from the beginning. Everything was clean and tidy, the interior and decoration was on point. The bathroom outside was a bliss. We stayed at the villa with a private pool which was luxury as well. We felt so at home! Madushan made sure that we had a nice trip to Dabula and organized a driver for us. He made sure that everything was perfect.
The food - try the Sri Lankan curry it is soo good- and the cocktails were amazing!

The rooms were dark and the bath was quite old, but the owners of this lodge were sooo nice and helpful and you felt very comfortable there! Dinner and Breakfast there were amazing!🤩
The Owner (Nuwan) who was always there was charming and very attentive. The room was very comfortable, and the bathroom is large and spacious. We booked a safari with them, and it was great; we saw about 80 wild elephants in one day, which was amazing. They also arranged a Car for us to go see the sunrise at Pidurangala.
