Beautiful period building, comfortable bed, large room with plenty of space for our German Shepherd. There was a lot of coffee and tea, usually there is only two in a room, we had 7 or 8 of each.
Richard the owner was friendly and informative of the local area, the next time we're looking for accommodation around Taunton, Beaufort Lodge will be the very top of our list.
The lovely location in the grounds of a beautiful house in an attractive village close to Taunton, in Somerset.
The large, comfy bed.
The shower, which has two shower heads for personal preference. Water pressure was good and temperature was good.
The high quality bedding and towels.

That the owners were friendly, and communicative if we needed them, but left us alone when we didn't.
The lodge felt private as it is in the grounds and not attached to the main house.
Stayed many times here. It's very convenient for town centre and much more appealing than the standard motorway type lodges. Breakfast is always a highlight- book the evening before and it will be delivered to your table at the time you specify. Nice bar with good selection of Gins and wines. Nice looking restaurant (never tried the food). it's 5 minute walk to the bus terminus and town centre. Staff always friendly.

One of the most pleasant things about Beaufort Lodge is the engagement by Richard, the owner and manager of the guest house.
Though the booking was made by booking g.com, Richard called me ahead of our stay and explained how everything worked and put or mind at rest answering any questions. Richard also kept me up to date via texts and though I never had a chance to meet Richard due a family bereavement, he kept in touch via text.

The Beaufort Lodge exceeded my expectations on so many levels.
The owner spoke to us immediately on our arrival and maintained communication throughout. He even took the trouble to send personal text messages, including one with the WIFI code to ensure that we had it.
The room itself was absolutely stunning!
Everything! The lodge is so beyond beautiful and well kept - it was easy to find, great location to Tesco and Lidl, also an easy 5 minute walk to the National Express bus for inbound/outbound journeys. Richard was very lovely and though I didn't get to meet him, he sent a message explaining everything and the reasoning behind not being there to check me in. The room was gorgeous - I absolutely adored it! Well set out, with the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. Thank you so much, I would love to stay again soon!

The horses near by and the parrot that came to visit us a few times was beautiful and kept the kids very amused

The room was ok as expected for this type of hotel, althogh perhaps a little 'tired' compared to others in this part of the market (ala Premier Inn and some updated Travelodges). Parking is free for the duration of your stay (though be sure you enter your vehicle reg. at Reception when you check-in).
