Snow to book morning electric boat tour through canals, morning walk and night walk through the hotel with their excellent guide, Luiz. The location in town was super convenient and allowed us to back into the national park and beach with ease. It seems the larger “resort lodges” are a bit inconvenient and require a lot of water taxis rides. From a creature comfort standpoint, the air conditioning is a must and I noticed many hotels and lodges do not have ac.

We enjoyed the nature tours with Marvin very much. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The canal tours is what I will remember the most. The room was simple and clean.

The staff at this lodge was amazing! Food was well organized and tasty. We booked a tour and had a really nice tour guide. The view om the water was lovely and the rooms were correct.
Great jungle atmosphere, I felt like I’m in a luxury lodge in the middle of an African safari. All hotel area is beautiful and the view to the river is amazing. Lots of nice spots to relax and enjoy nature.
Beautiful lodges and superb common spaces including riverfront spaces and an excellent pool. It’s a short walk from Tortugueros village and worth the private boat taxi directly to Mawamba lodge unless you have only backpacks.
this is an amazing setting and superbly appointed - poolside area and areas to relax both inside and out. the bungalow style lodges are well positioned to enjoy the wildlife and river activities - the garden tour a particular highlight. food exceptional

The property grounds was immaculately maintained and offered an abundance of birds butterflies and flowers. You don’t need a tour to see birds just stay here. The cabanas were very clean and comfy. This place has all the amenities of the higher end ecolodges at half the price. Willis is a great host.
we had the best time at rankins lodge! he is so nice and helps you with everything! his garden is beautiful and the lodges are really cute! definitly recommend! one of our favorite stays during the journey!!
