Absolutely loved the treehouse! Was a bit worried at first that it was a miss but definitely one of the best stays of our trip. It’s like Bali but in the rainforest. Lots of cool animals spotted given the hotel is in the rainforest.
Drive there was a bit rocky and tough but you get used to it after a while. Definitely felt like we were driving to the middle of nowhere and then all of a sudden it appeared. Most of Costa Rica was like that :)

Staff (every level) from owner to restaurant staff and others were all friendly, courteous & helpful. It was a really fun drive up to the lodge, but it was for sure an effort. About 15 minutes to reach the main road, and it's a goat track -- steep, narrow and super bumpy. Fun, but not everyone's cup of tea. Overall, the scenery of the place, the remoteness and views are the draw.

We came back after 5 years and were pleased to see what Jonathan had done with the place. The location is great and the view is amazing. The restaurant is working and the kitchen is fully equipped in case you want to prepare your own food. The rooms are clean and spacious, the wifi is good and there is plenty of parking space. In addition you see some of the local animals.

The location is very quiet with Mountain View’s. Next to steak house. The room and restroom is very ample. As well as Parking which is next to your room. I forgot to take photos . But place is in perfect condition.

The place is nice and quiet with well appointed rooms, I plan to return to the lodge next year if possible.
Lots of restaurants near by but sadly the lodge restaurant was closed .
This was the most unique, once in a lifetime lodge stay we have experienced. Eyal really does not mess/ “eff” around when it comes to food because seriously the two night dinner feasts we had was the most incredible food in the world. Sadly he ruined all our favorite restaurants but we will forever remember his hospitality. Going to gingerbread will feel like going to your grandma’s house because it has a cozy, warm feeling, and it’s so special. Definitely give this place a try with an open heart and you won’t be sorry.
