Finca Amistad Cacao Lodge, hotel in Bijagua

Finca Amistad Cacao Lodge offers 60 hectares of Cocoa farm and guests can enjoy tours, chocolate and bird watching. The accommodation features a seating area.

We really enjoyed our stay at Finca Amistad. The highlight of our visit was Lidia, a lovely lady who greeted us at check-in and made us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. Though she didn’t speak English and we didn’t speak Spanish, her warmth and attentiveness truly touched our hearts. We also liked the chocolate tour, although I personally wished our guide had been a bit more enthusiastic. For someone experiencing cacao beans for the first time, I think there’s more that could be shared about the process and the magic of chocolate (this wasn’t our first cacao tour, so we had higher expectations). We especially loved the animals—the cat and the dogs that joined us during breakfast and dinner. The cat was so friendly and added an extra charm to our experience.

Rincon Verde, hotel in Bijagua

Rincon Verde has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Bijagua, 49 km from Venado Caves. There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries.

This is a beautiful, peaceful, unforgettable place run by a lovely couple, who are kind and clearly proud of what they have achieved in this small paradise. The cabins are simple, but comfortable. Breakfast is amazing, and the gardens attract birds, bats, butterflies. The road is unpaved, but manageable with an SUV.

Onca Tours & Treehouses, hotel in Bijagua

Featuring mountain views, Onca Tours & Treehouses in San Rafael features accommodation, a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free...

This is a very relaxed and family-run place (nothing to compare with large resorts or hotels). We enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. The owner is super friendly and provides all what you need: we had an adhoc tubing on Rio Celeste (great fun) and by chance the next morning, we were guided to see 2 sloths in a nearby village. Good local food, cooked just for us. Thanks!

Featuring mountain views, Rio Celeste Springs Blue Lodge in Bijagua features accommodation, a garden, a terrace and a restaurant.

Very nice Room with a big terrace. The location is right in front of the park entrance and behind the accomodation is a nice little farm. Nearby is a very nice restaurant to eat for the evening (Tapir), because after 4 o'clock everything is closed around the hotel. Very quiet in low season und nice manager at the hotel

We loved La Finca Amistad Cacao Lodge. Nicely located closed to Tenorio park. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful and the lunch, dinner and breakfast were delicious. This is the best part of our trip with the cacao tour, chocolate making and jacuzzi time! We highly recommend to stay at least 2 nights!!

Lovely garden , comfortable lodge, the walk to the waterfall is a must if you are staying here. Takes 1 hr and you can swim in a lovely spot after about 40 min. Beautiful primal forest on route. Really exceptional trees. We also enjoyed our dinner . Good location for Rio Celeste walk or tubing.

Tierras Altas is a much better place to stay than Heliconias Lodge! And if you pay an entrance ticket of USD 14 per person, you can access the trails of Heliconias. The two lodges are only 300 meters apart!

The gardens and trails are fantastic. Great value for the price compared to other lodges. Rooms are old and not the cleanest. But the price is fantastic. And greatly located for tenorio.

Perfect location with a great view. The lodges are located within a lovely garden, right next to the forest. They offer stunning views. When it rains, it’s a great experience! Staff was very friendly. Beds comfortable. breakfast was ok. They have two great trails on the property.
