Lovely location and exceptional facilities for a small family. We didnt see Boo the bear but felt at peace with nature. Very close to Emerald lake and Wapta falls. The sky bridge was closed due to the wildfires but there is plenty to keep you busy

Absolutely beautiful lodge with breathtaking views.
Host treated us like family and we were so grateful to have met everyone.
We wish we could have stayed here longer but Alpine Meadows was fully booked !
Will definitely be back and could not recommend any higher!
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
The lodge was a nice cabin in the middle of nowhere (which in this case is a good thing). The cabin and common spaces were nice and the breakfast room was great with lots of windows overlooking the valley. Breakfast was a good selection and it was nice to interact a bit with all the visitors who were all heading out into the wilderness each day.
I stayed here for 3 nights and it was absolutely perfect. Great location for accessing Yoho or Glacier NP’s. The whole lodge was impeccably clean, very quiet and super comfortable. Kat and Paul were super friendly and Kat puts out a great breakfast every morning. Will definitely stay again if I’m ever back in that area.
It’s not a chain hotel, it’s a privately owned lodge and a bit of a throwback to another age. Tucked away in the woods overlooking Golden and very much in the wild. Self service breakfast and a bit old fashioned which we found very appealing. Finally, on our departure, we saw two bears and an elk in the road leading from the lodge.
Beautiful big lodge which is far enough from town to feel secluded without being too remote. Cathy and Bruce have done an amazing job in creating a comfortable and relaxing experience with lots of thoughtful touches. The sauna and hot tub were a real treat and the homemade breakfasts were a highlight of our whole trip!
Great location right by the river and extensive walking paths. View of the mountains from some rooms. The log-style lobby was welcoming, and the mountain lodge theme continued throughout.
The breakfast set up was good as they welcomed guests bringing their own food in. The shared kitchen provided a coffee machine, toaster, microwave and sink.
Good value for families who reserve the loft style rooms, which have two single beds upstairs and a queen bed downstairs. Lodge vibe without the high price of well-known larger lodges.
The Location is wonderful.Remote very quiet. We loved it and we were able to see wildlife everytime we came and went from the property into town. The Lodge is very confortable and very clean and the staff super friendly and accomodating.
What a gorgeous authentic ski lodge. Furnished with luxurious comfort, big open fire. Lovely room beautifully decorated. Restaurant next door. Staff cleared the fresh snow away from our car, such a great treat. Excellent, friendly staff. Excellent location, amazing views of the forest. Fabulous ski and heated boot storage room.
The location is great, and the facilities are certainly to the standards and spacing of a ski lodge. They provided ample warning of the "village" being closed and hi-way maintenance being conducted.
