Everything about this hotel was fantastic. The staff are exceptional, and the food in the restaurant was some of the best we ate in Vietnam. We stayed at this hotel at the start of our holiday and again at the end of our holiday. It is worth paying the extra money for a room with an external window and street view.

Architecture, culture, people and on week end festivals. Hoan Kiem lake has it all. A stroll around the lake and you go from old town to French quarter to temples. Mornings you’ll see the locals out early doing their daily exercise and at night catch a dance or two. The markets come alive in the streets at night. And of course a visit to beer street is a must. Sit above the big road about in highland coffee shop and watch the motorbikes or across the road is loveletter cafe. Here you can write ✍️ a love ❤️ letter to your loved one and post it on the walls ceiling chairs.

If you can, go there on the weekends.
If you can, go there on the weekends. The few major streets in the area are closed to traffic and are taken over by pedestrians and kids on motorized vehicles. It is a “hunting ground” for students learning English. On one walk around the lake, we were approached by se real groups of kids asking to practice English. They all have these sheets of paper with set of question that they ask you. Quite often they come with the teacher who will approach you first.

See the various aspects of the culture at play, from groups of elderly having their morning dance session to savvy tourists in colourful Ao Dai posing before Ngoc Son temple.
Seeing the contrast between the exuberant human activities in the park and the sparsely populated streets surrounding it is truly an experience.
We received a warm welcome from the moment we arrived, felt like family! The staff are wonderful here, spoke excellent English and were really helpful arranging transport during tet for us. The hotel is spotless, well run and always someone on reception. Breakfast was a couple of doors down at their sister hotel , plentiful buffet and eggs made to order. 10-15 mins walk to Hoan Kiem lake - great location.

The apartment's location is perfect: in the middle of the Old Quarter, just a few minutes on foot from Hoan Kiem lake. Heaps of cheap and delicious food places around, both in restaurants and in the fruit markets.
Beds were big and firm, with clean linen.
The apartment was well-equiped with everything necessary for a stay: refrigerator, washing machine, some cooking devices, water cooler.
The host was quick to reply to any of our enquiries.
Friendly small old-style hotel in a great back street location within easy walking distance of many shops & restaurants, Hoan Kiem Lake, Train Street & local markets. Staff were exceptional with a special mention of Henry, who contacted the bank & made arrangements for me to collect my debit card when it got swallowed up in a local ATM! They also booked day tours & airport taxis for us. Comfortable bed & very good wi-fi. Buffet breakfast was excellent.

Room is little bit small but most of the hotels near by the Hoan Kiem Lake have similar size I think.
This is a new hotel in a perfect location for exploring Hanoi old town. The hotel is only 4 months old so everything is fresh and new. It’s tucked away down a side street just off Hoan Kiem lake (2 minutes walk) and there’s a sky bar with views over the lake. The staff are very friendly and attentive - they will do all they can to ensure you have everything you need. Now my FAVOURITE hotel in Hanoi!
This boutique hotel was clean, spacious (we had the family room) and had the best location to explore the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake. We were also spoiled for food and coffee options. The staff were so accommodating, efficient and pleasant to us. Miss Mai was always happy to chat to us and it made us feel like we were home away from home!
The location is very good and convenient for travel, the staff are friendly, the hotel is not noisy from traffic, you can see part of St. Joseph's Cathedral in Hanoi and hear the church bells every day. It is located in a small alley with many delicious eateries around, you can walk to the church, Hoan Kiem Lake, and it is in the center of the Old Quarter, so you can walk to almost everywhere in the Old Quarter within 15 minutes
The apartment was perfect for us to visit a bit Hanoi, and very functional for our needs. It is very close to the Hoan Kiem lake,while other points of interest can be easily reached by taxi or a 20 min walk approximately. The host kindly helped us organising transfer to and from the airport. The entrance is inside a shop, where a person is always present in case of need.
Intimate and very nice hotel well located in the center of Hanoi, 3 minutes walk from the famous Train street and only 15 minutes from Hoan Kiem Lake. The rooms are good and clean, good value for money.
