Exceptional. I have no complaints. Food: amazing, affordable, and at your service any time of day. Service: amazing. Ambiance: amazing. Cleanliness and room: amazing (this is super important, and it really was clean!). View: amazing (I was on the second floor). Overall just amazing, Linh and her whole family made me feel completely at home, like part of the family. She helped me learn how to ride a motorbike in order to get to town without the bus, got me booked on an overnight bus to Sa Pa, and made me all my smoothies with my protein powder (and their delicious mangos from the property). Best place I've stayed in Vietnam. Also very few bugs!

We had an amazing stay! it was my friends birthday, and I had messaged in advance to let the staff know and ask whether I could arrange somthing special. Upon arrival we were greeted with flowers and a glass of wine! The staff then later bought her freshly made cake saying happy birthday! Was so so lovely and can’t thank Henry enough:) Highly recommend.

Atmospheric place with a great view of one of the island's valleys, interesting architecture of the houses themselves referring to the tropical character of the island. Delicious breakfasts with a large selection of dishes. Nice common area where you can eat or spend time pleasantly.
I had a lovely stay here! It was really convenient to Cat Ba National Park which was my primary reason for being in Cat Ba. The host was really communicative and helpful with picking me up from the bus station and booked a bus for me to return to Hanoi as well. The food prices were reasonable. There were friendly cats and dogs on the property as well as some cute kiddos. Also on the day of my solo hike, the owner texted me in the evening to make sure I had gotten out of the woods safely - very thoughtful!

We were received by Jay, a local with past experience in tours. He is very fluent in english, super friendly and amazingly helpful. He helped us organize our schedule to be able to enjoy everything to the max, including a full day boat tour (highly recommended!!) and a visit to Cat Ba national park (also recommended!).
I've been here for 3d2n, the reception gave me a plan to do in Cat Ba. From the boat trip day tour and do trekking in Cat Ba national park. It's was amazing time, i love Cat Ba than a lot of place i've been, there is quite, not too much tourist and i don't have to pay a lot.
At the end, they give me a room to take a shower before we go back to Ha Noi.
It's located around some of the best restaurants of Cat Ba. The staff is very accommodating and kind- there's one who speaks fluent English, which I really appreciated. She arranged a motorcycle taxi for me to visit the Cat Ba National Park, and everything went very smoothly.
The only one place you can stay overnight in the middle of Cat Ba National Park, I love the food as well as the amazing view here ( the nature is perfect and quiet ) . Friendly staff, reasonable price, Highly recommend anyone who's going to visit National Park
Great location, close to the waterfront, restaurants, but calm. Road to cat ba national park can be reached easily. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Daily tours, bus tickets, motorbike rent available, just ask the owners
The homestay is in a beautiful location at Viet Hai village in the heart of Cat Ba National Park. Chilly, the homestay host, made all the travel arrangements for us from Hanoi and back again, which took away all the hassle. The highlight of our stay was a sunset picnic at Ba Trai Dao, when we kayaked among the phosphorescent plankton after dark. Meals are served in a communal dining room, which allowed us to get to know other people staying there. Altogether a lovely, restful place.
