Go see it up close!
Go see it up close! You can really see how tall it is and why the monument was considered the tallest building when it was first built. Didn't get to go inside, but you can sit around it (on grass or benches) and just admire the entire area. Especially on a sunny day, it is just so beautiful. Go during the day and go back during the night when it is lit up. Such a different experience - both are great!

You simple can’t beat the location 2/3 blocks from the White House !..across from McPhersonMetro ( blue silver orange) the Washington monument Lincoln monument the Smithsonian’s! They have actual room service and a restaurant and bar !..comfortable beds and a warmish small pool perfect to fire out the kids at the end of the night !!
Perfect central location! Good rooms (they’re definitely on the cozy side) that fit our needs for our trip. Great gym, has peloton bikes which was a very pleasant surprise. The restaurant at the hotel was also tasty (I enjoyed my avocado toast thoroughly) and in the morning we got a clear view of the Washington monument - such a nice morning experience.

The room was clean. The hotel was perfect to visit all the spots in Washington, at walking distance from Washington monument, White House and all the museums
Well, it helped that the weather was beautiful. My room had a beautiful view of the Capitol and the Washington Monument. Also, bed was large and comfortable, shower hot, quiet, all good.
The Hotel was nice and clean.
It was within walking distance to most of the Monuments and famous tourists sites like the White House , Washington monument and the Lincoln memorial.
