Go see it up close!
Go see it up close! You can really see how tall it is and why the monument was considered the tallest building when it was first built. Didn't get to go inside, but you can sit around it (on grass or benches) and just admire the entire area. Especially on a sunny day, it is just so beautiful. Go during the day and go back during the night when it is lit up. Such a different experience - both are great!

The Hotel was nice and clean.
It was within walking distance to most of the Monuments and famous tourists sites like the White House , Washington monument and the Lincoln memorial.
The location of the hotel is great. In just a few minutes you can reach the White House, the Washington Monument or Chinatown. The subway station can also be reached in five minutes.
The location is within walking distance of the The Wharf, museums, and the Washington Monuments—plenty of great food options and entertainment. We weren't aware when we booked, but the capitol building is in sight of the rooftop pool. The host made us aware when we checked in. Really cool!
The location was amazing and within walking distance to the White House and Washington Monument. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was basic but included, which is a good money saver for families. We lucked up and found a parking spot right out front and didn't have to pay since it was the weekend.
The buffet breakfast was a favorite of the kids, and we all enjoyed dinner at the 21st Amendment bar and grill. The location was amazing, super close to the Air and Space Museum and about a mile walk from the Washington monument along the National Mall. The staff were kind and helpful, and the beds were comfortable.
The staff and location. Melissa is the best! It's right beside the Farragut West metro station. Walking distance to the White House. Bus stops next block if you don't want to walk to the White House or Washington Monument. Bus to Lincoln Memorial is across the hotel. You get a 10% discount at Le Pain Quotidien across the hotel. McDonald's is a block away. Excellent location to walk around at night. Complimentary late check out at 1pm.
