Absolutely loved the location of this hotel - smack dab in the middle of the city so getting to any attraction or area was easy. Less than a block from one of the main subway stations. Room was huge (we had a king junior suite), especially for New York, the people working the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful.

The dining room for breakfast and dinner was superb
Times Square
Alive with billboards and brightly-lit screens, Times Square is alive with energy. Yellow taxis fly past and tourists pause awestruck to snap photos on their phones. The bustle of New York summed up in one crossroads, every element competes for your attention. It might often be recreated for film and TV, but nothing beats seeing this famous location up close.

why is this even mentioned?
why is this even mentioned? crowded, often dirty, unsurprising and very touristy. if you like neon well maybe but it’s rather gross. exciting maybe for people who’ve never traveled. if you want to be awestruck, go to the 9/11 memorial.

Superb place at any time during the day.
Superb place at any time during the day. Specially after 3:00 PM when most theaters release all the available seats at the amazing shows for that evening.
Great place to stop and have something to eat after the shows.
Amazing feeling of a city that has a hard time to sleep at night.

Not really very much to see other than buildings with lights on it was noisy messy and not actually a square. We thought it would be a bit like leister square in London but it literally was just some building s we nearly walked past it.

I love times square. Plenty to see and do. Lots of restaurants ranging from reasonable to pricy. Shop around. If you stay in times square, Central Park, Lincoln Center and Carnagie Hall are all within walking distance.

Times Square is something that has to be seen to truly appreciate. However, be prepared to be overwhelmed with the amount of people and the sensory overload! Don't pose for pictures with or even interact with the characters in costumes, unless you intend to pay them. If you want to see Times Square at the least stressful time, go at 3am. And the best food in NYC is NOT in Times Square.

I loved how simplistic and QUIET the rooms are! It’s almost as if they’re soundproof. Easy to sleep even in the middle of Times Square. It’s always a plus when you can rely on the hotel having great wash products!
The Mayfair is a beautiful hotel - the best of golden era architecture with wood panelled lobby. It is conveniently located near Times Square & the theatre district. Front staff were very welcoming
The location is the greatest aspect of this hotel! It’s so ideal. Literally right next to Penn Station as well as a 15-minute walk away from Times Square. They have great staffs as well! Samira was extremely nice and welcoming, and even went above and beyond and upgraded my room! Will surely be back for future visits!
The staff were really friendly and accommodating! The hotel was only a 15 min walk from most of the main tourist attractions like Times Square.
The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable perfect for a quick get away!
The hotel was situated perfectly for all the things I wanted to do. The room was comfortable in size and the breakfast was awesome. The staff greeted me with pleasant faces and accommodated holding my luggage while I toured the City on my first and last day in New York. Being in Times Square was exceptional.
The hotel is very close to the subway and Times Square. The location is good if you are interested in upper Manhattan walking. I liked the security of needing to have your room key to utilize the elevator. The staff were really friendly. When it comes to New York City and other large cities I was not expecting a large room so it worked out really well for me if you’re expecting to have loads of room, then you’re gonna have to shell out a lot more cash for the plaza.
The hotel's standout feature is its amazing location. Being right near Times Square in New York is perfect for anyone looking to explore the city, with easy access to major attractions, shopping, and dining options.
The staff was great. It is a great location in Times Square. Obviously with that will come some street noise, but it’s New York! We stayed so busy all day and we crashed out when we got to the hotel each night! I enjoyed my stay.
The room was nice. Great place for tourists - good price for quality and easy access to many trains. I would recommend this hotel to people visiting New York who don’t want to stay in Times Square, want a convenient location and very fair price. Overall nice hotel but personally would probably never stay there again.
