Love the location especially if considering site seeing of the capitol, white house, monument, Smithsonian and other museums. Would like to take my 12 and 13 year old there to learn our history. I was there for Redskins and Steelers game. Wish the skins won.
The property was in a great location (within walking distance to Union Station, several great restaurants, and about a 20 minute walk to the Capitol). The area felt safe and the property was immaculate. The decor was adorable and the room was spacious, with lots of amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, shower had wonderful water pressure, and there was minimal street noise. And the staff were all incredible/welcoming; from the valet to cleaning people, everyone was attentive and helpful.
This is my new favorite hotel!!
The Capitol Hill Hotel never disappoints! It is my ‘go-to’ destination after long haul flights and a welcome respite for a weary traveler 😊
The staff is consistently amazing, the rooms are always top-notch, and the breakfast is a convenient stop before I continue on to Union Station and home!
Good location, located closer to DC sightseeings (White House, The Capitol, all the Smithsonian museums) and closer to some bars and restaurants.
Lots of public transportation lines (metro and buses) located nearby or in a few minutes walk.
The hostel staff was very friendly and helpful. They maintain cleaning of rooms and showers every day.
Nice common areas with a home like feeling.
Met nice new friends from all around the world.
Well, it helped that the weather was beautiful. My room had a beautiful view of the Capitol and the Washington Monument. Also, bed was large and comfortable, shower hot, quiet, all good.
Spacious 3 bedroom apartment, excellent for a family of 5-6. Nice kitchen satisfying more than basic cooking needs. 2 showers/bathrooms. Near DC subway system, by far the best way to get into interesting sites of the capitol. Neighborhood not the best though we did not feel under any danger even walking at night. Police station a few buildings over on street. Must read instructions sent by host carefully before arriving.
I was in the city for a concert at the capitol one arena across the street and just wanted something close and this was perfect. The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, they were able to answer all of my questions and they were very helpful when I was trying to book for another night and even made suggestions for other hotels in the area because they were fully booked for the evening. Overall this was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a hotel and I will definitely be back!
