When we "arrived" we saw an impromptu line of at least 50...
When we "arrived" we saw an impromptu line of at least 50 people waiting to take a fake selfie with the ilussion of "nobody around", as you can stand with your back to the water. The reality is thats a very small, crowded space. Pro tip: take your fotos from accross the street and skip the long line. Super weird.

Be prepared for overcrowding in this space. Many folks will stop their cars at the bend, let members of their party out, and have them walk to the 'Point'. While this is convenient for that party, expect that it can stall traffic somewhat and may bother other visitors to the area. Drivers need to be especially vigilant as there are many pedestrians depending on that at this location.

Breakfast was provided every morning! It was right on the beach and the Southernmost Point Buoy! You got free drinks every day, and it honestly felt like I was at home. Everything was great!
close and convient to Duval street from mallory square to the southernmost point not a far walk to fury water sports .Breakfast was ;waffles ,bagels ,yogurt ,fruit, juice, sweet rolls and coffee perfect to keep us full till dinner.
Happy hour was free cheese and crackers and wine (we are more the beer and pretzel crowd ). The pool and hot tub were perfect cool enough for 90 degree weather but warm enough not to shock you .
The gated property was centrally situated half a block off Duval Street and midpoint to the Southernmost Point. The room was very spacious and well decorated. The courtyard was tranquil. Overall, the Douglas House provided a great atmosphere, was well maintained and was great value for money.
This is a great peaceful place to stay. There aren’t a lot of rooms so it’s not crazy busy. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It is no frills but perfect for a key west getaway. It is closer to the southernmost point but if you don’t feel like walking to Mallory square it’s a 5$ Lyft ride. We will definitely stay again.
Location was amazing. Half block from the quieter end of duval st, 1 1/2 blocks from the southernmost point, and about 2 blocks from 2 small beaches. Very friendly staff and decent breakfast of waffles, mixed fruit, cereal, hard boiled eggs, toast/bagels/muffins, juice & milk.
Superb location, close to the Southernmost Point, the Historical District, Rest Beach, Higgs Memorial Beach Park, Fort Zachary Taylor park etc. Spacious room with decent bathroom (though it is a challenge to wash your face and hands in the Barbie-size sink).
For 16 USD a day you can rent bikes, perfect means to explore Key West.
Location, location, location. On the water with one of the few “beaches” and quick access to Sunset Pier. On Duval Street and close to all the restaurants, bars and shops. Nice hike to the southernmost point. Parking at the hotel. Huge balconies with ocean view. All staff was very nice. Beautiful walkways between the buildings.
Great location near the Southernmost point. Motel-style property with a distinctly modern aesthetic and a large resort-style pool area. (Our room also had an updated bathroom; not sure if this applies to all the rooms). Room rates are not exactly cheap, but the Blue Marlin still ranks as an excellent value for Key West. Continental breakfast is basic but does the job. Several excellent food options on the same block (Ana’s Deli, The Conch and the Cuban Cafe. Staff was very helpful in making restaurant recommendations.
Location was perfect, close to all of the action but quiet. Easy walk to Duval Street and Southernmost Point. Breakfast every morning is my new requirement during a hotel stay. Very sweet lady made omelets every morning t the poolside tiki bar-just enough to start your day. Front desk staff were exceptional and helpful. Weather was hot and humid so a dip in the pool every afternoon was really nice.
